Gala of Trees Fundrasier to Support Smiles for Lily

Posted by gregschorn on Nov 20 2014 - 8:39pm

Hi Everyone,

The Milford Junior Women's Club (MJWC) has organized a decorated tree raffle to be held on 06-December and the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local little girl from Milford named Lily Ann who has been diagnosed with Goldenhar Vacterl Syndrome. The MJWC is asking for local organizations like us to participate by donating a decorated tree to the gala to be raffled off to help raise money to support Lily and her family.  I thought it would be a tremendous help to a local family in our community if Pack 67 could help support Smiles for Lily.  So I would like to setup an area at the counter during our Pack Meeting next week on 25-Nov to collect donations from anyone willing to support the effort which will enable our Pack to purchase themed decorations and a small 4-5 foot tree.  If anyone already has a small tree you are willing to donate that we could decorate please let me know.  The tree setup and decorating event will take place on 06-Dec at The Learning Experience located on 350 East Main Street in Milford from 10 am - 2 pm.  I will setup a calendar event and extend the invitation to the Pack to help join in this service project.

Milford area cub scouts had a great time on Sunday at our annual Cub Scout Olymipcs. In attendance were Milford Packs 4, 32, and 67, Hopedale Pack 1, and Mendon Pack 1. First place on Sunday was a tie! Hopedale Pack 1 will take home the trophy for the first half of the year, while the second half it will come home to us!

Congratulations on your victory, Pack 67!
